Stony Run Greenhouse
They came to automate a greenhouse. They left with a product.

the idea
Scott and Rilla Miller run a family hydroponic operation in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. One greenhouse grew into a network of sites. Running all of it by hand meant wiring, spreadsheets, manual checks, and a lot of driving.
They came to MEGALab with one goal: fully automate Stony Run Greenhouse.
the produce
We built it together, on their greenhouses, with their crops.
-
Edge AI compute at every greenhouse. Next to the plants, not in the cloud.
-
The automation layer. Sensors, pumps, valves, lights, and cameras in one system.
-
The operating system tying it together. Every site in one pane of glass.
the AI automation
From seed to shipping. The greenhouses don't just report. They think and act on their own, 24/7.

automations: monitor | control | predict | optimize
models: trained on Stony Run data / running on Lab0 edge
internet: optional / every greenhouse still growing
-
monitorSensors and cameras feed edge AI around the clock: temperature, humidity, pH, EC, nutrients, water flow, and light, across every site.
-
controlClosed-loop automation. Irrigation, nutrient dosing, lighting, and climate adjust themselves to live data. No one has to flip a switch.
-
predictThe AI spots drift before it becomes a problem and alerts Scott and Rilla before a single head of lettuce is affected.
-
optimizeIt learns from every harvest. Crop performance by variety and location tunes the grow recipes for romaine, mixes, and herbs.
Their data, their AI. Models are trained on Stony Run's own grow data in our Cloud AI Blackwell Factory, then compressed to run on Lab0 edge nodes inside the greenhouse. The AI lives next to the plants, not in someone else's cloud, and it keeps running when the internet doesn't.
the product
What worked at Stony Run didn't stay at Stony Run.
Scott and Rilla turned their AI automation into EnkiOS: Greenhouse AI Automations, proven on a working farm. Together, we're now building and selling EnkiOS to other growers.
Idea → produce → product. A farm family brought a problem. Now they own a product.
what they grow
Harvested every Tuesday and Thursday: romaine, Bibb, lettuce mixes, arugula blends, microgreens, basil, and cilantro.
On shelves at Friendly City Food Co-op, Jon Henry General Store, area schools, and top Valley restaurants.
Know your farmer, know your food. Five years in, and Scott's advice still stands: "Don't give up."
